Intermission has ended, let the following Act begin.
The red velvet curtain retracts from the center of the stage to reveal a girl standing on a sidewalk. Her hair is not quite blonde, yet not dark enough to be brown. Her appearance is not that stunning, though not displeasing either. Her attire expresses her interest in fashion, yet falls somewhat short of achieving it. She is, as stereotypically described, your average person.
Surrounding her on the sidewalk are people impatiently waiting for the signal to cross the street. Slowly they inch towards the road, anxious to cross it to get to their destination. All the while the girl stands there, looking up, to the right, to the left. Soaking in the world around her. She’s been here before, she’s walked down this street, it’s nothing new. But it is different. It is very different.
No longer is this a place she occasionally visits. No, this is her territory now. This is her world. This is her home.
Beneath her feet lies a sidewalk that leads to the road ahead. And, along with everyone else, she is eager to get the green light to cross the street and enter into this world of opportunity.
This is just the beginning, the stage has been set, now it's time for the story to begin.
